After spending the morning with Don Guayo, we headed over to Concepción Chuito to see the continuing progress with renovations of the farm. Unlike what we’ve seen so far on this trip, Chuito is grown on steep slopes that climb up from a small river. We make selections from the lot of Bourbon at the bottom of the farm. After a serious stumping of the trees a few years back, we’ve been seeing bigger volumes come available. Some of the plants seem a little confused, putting out little bursts of blossoms months early. While not great for the future harvest, it’s a great opportunity to huff the intoxicating fragrance of these flowers. #ritualcoffeeroasters #BiP2015 #concepciónchuito #Guatemala
